It’s a simple equation for the Kolkata Knight Riders. If they win against Rajasthan on Thursday, they make the playoffs. Their impressive net run rate has come in handy at the crucial stage of the season.

Meanwhile, the Royals suffered a season-ending defeat against the Mumbai Indians. They struggled to create meaningful partnerships, particularly in the middle order when they needed it most, only managing to muster a mere 90 runs from their innings.
