The Royal Challengers and Delhi Capitals are set to clash heads on Friday when they battle it out at the Dubai International Stadium.

Simon Katich’s side has secured a playoff spot with two matches remaining, and if results go their way, they could finish in the top two. They face the Sunrisers (8th) and Capitals (1st) to finish their regular season.

Glenn Maxwell has been in superb form since the restart of the season and will be a major element in Bangalore’s future success. He’s hit three consecutive half-centuries to raise his season batting average to 40.

Meanwhile, the Delhi Capitals have put themselves in pole position to finish on the top of the ladder after downing their season rivals Chennai by three wickets in an entertaining contest. Axar Patel shined with 2/18, whilst Shikhar Dhawan continued his strong campaign top-scoring with 39 for the Capitals.

They will be keen for revenge on Friday after losing to the Royal Challengers by a solitary run earlier in the season.
