SRH vs MI Match Prediction & Preview
The Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians are set to clash heads on Friday when they battle it out at the Zayed Cricket Stadium.
Hyderabad has a clash against the Royal Challengers before their last game of the season and will be playing for pride after a disappointing campaign after the highs of last year.
However, recent history isn’t on their side either against the Mumbai Indians, who have won four of the previous five meetings. This has been the worst season the Sunrisers have ever had since their foundation in 2013.
Meanwhile, the Mumbai Indians have kept their playoff hopes well and truly alive with a commanding eight-wicket triumph over the Royals last time out. The bowling attack of Nathan Coulter-Nile, James Neesham and Jasprit Bumrah combined for nine wickets and kept them to a mere 90 runs.
However, due to their net run rate juxtaposed to the Knight Riders, they will be relying on the Royals to defeat them on Thursday. Meanwhile, they’ll have to cruise past the Sunrisers the following day in order to make the playoffs for a third successive season.
The Sunrisers have endured a disappointing campaign, and I don’t believe it will get any easier when they face the in-form Mumbai Indians on Friday. Although the Indians win, I don’t think it’ll be enough to make the playoffs.
