SRH vs RR Match Prediction & Preview

The Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings are set to clash heads on Sunday when they battle it out at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

Trevor Bayliss’ outfit made it three consecutive losses in their eight-wicket defeat against the Delhi Capitals last time out. Surely that has put a line through their playoff chances this season.

It seems that their lacklustre middle order can’t steady the lack of meaningful opening partnerships this season. Australian David Warner and New Zealander Kane Williamson have struggled with the bat in both games either side of the season restart.

Meanwhile, the Royals will have the benefit of an extra day’s rest for their clash against the Sunrisers, with their next game against the Capitals taking place tomorrow (AEST). If results go their way, they could see themselves as high as third after this tie.

Experienced South African Chris Morris will have to maintain and improve upon his fantastic performances in the first half of the campaign after the Royals lost Ben Stokes, Jofra Archer and Jos Buttler. Morris currently sits sixth in the Upstox IPL Most Valuable Player standings.

The Sunrisers have endured a tough season thus far, and despite the Royals losing many stars, I don’t see it getting any easier for David Warner’s side.
