Plate of Origin is the Seven Network’s new cooking show and airs on Sunday, August 30.

French chef Manu Feildel is joined by former MasterChef hosts Matt Preston and Gary Mehigan in a show called Plate of Origin which is being nicknamed “The World Cup of Cooking.”

The show endeavours to showcase which cuisine is the best as ten teams from Australia represent some of the best nations in terms of cooking.

Team Greece are the $1.25 favourites to be the winning team for Plate of Origin Australia 2020. They defeated Team France 49-40 in the first round of cook-offs. In the Quarter-finals, they defeated Team India 30-24.

Second favourite at $4 are Team Vietnam who lost 48-42 to Team Cameroon in the head-to-head challenge. They survived the Elimination Challenge and won 26-19 against Team Lebanon in the Quarter-finals.

Team Cameroon are third favourites at $7.50 ahead of Team Italy who are the outsiders at $10 heading into episodes nine and 10, which includes the Grand Final episode.

The teams that have been eliminated so far from the competition are:

Team Greece are the favourites and with the vast variety of dishes that make up the Greek cuisine, they should prove hard to beat in Plate of Origin.
