The most recent winner of the Triple J Hottest 100 was English group Glass Animals with their hit song Heat Waves from the studio album Dreamland.

One of the highlights of the 2020 countdown was Australian pop-rock band Lime Cordiale who scored five tracks in the Triple J countdown.

The Kid LAROI and Justin Bieber track ‘Stay’ is currently the $2.50 favourite to be the winning song. It has reached number one status in multiple countries.

Charlton Kenneth Jeffrey Howard, known professionally as The Kid LAROI is an 18-year-old rapper and singer/songwriter.

Olivia Rodrigo’s song ‘good 4 u’ is the second favourite at $3.75 with Sportsbet. ‘good 4 u’ has also reached number one in more than eight countries. The 18-year-old American is an actress and singer famous for her roles as Paige Olvera on the series Bizaardvark and Nini Salazar-Roberts in High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.

Rodrigo has released the following singles in 2021. ‘Drivers License’ reached number one around the world with RIAA: 3x Platinum, ARIA: 2x Platinum and more certifications and is at $10. “Deja Vu” was not quite as critically acclaimed.

Australian rock band Gang of Youths hit song ‘the angel of 8th ave.’ rounds out the top three paying at $5. The critically acclaimed song reached #48 in the ARIA charts and #7 in the USA Adult Alternative Songs (Billboard).

A smokey chance that rounds out the top 10 is Lil Nas X and Jack Harlows track ‘Industry Baby’, which is paying at $21. The song hit #1 in 11 different charts and went ARIA: 2X Platinum. It was also nominated for five awards, ultimately winning the Best Pop Video – International at the UK Music Video Awards.
