Expert tips, predictions and best bets for the 2020 US Masters on the PGA Tour.
The 84th US Masters tournament will take place at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia between Thursday, November 12 and Sunday, November 15.
Tiger Woods is the defending champion as he finished -13 to defeat Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka and Xander Schauffele who all finished -12 in 2019.
US Masters Tips and Predictions: Best Bet ?
Our best bet for the US Masters is runner up Xander Schauffele from last year. The 27-year-old was making just his second appearance at Augusta National. Big occasions don’t seem to get to him either with six top 10 finishes in Majors, including a fifth in the US Open. Schauffele has finished in the top 25 in the last 11 tournaments and boasts impressive stats ranking third in SG: Total, fifth in Birdie Average and 15th in Putting Average. He was second in The CJ Cup @ Shadow Creek and looks ready for a big tournament.
US Masters Tips and Predictions: Best Value ?
We have three value selections for the 2020 US Masters and bet365 are paying out eight places for the tournament. Each of these three value tips can be backed each-way.
Regular readers will know that we are a fan of Tony Finau and he has performed well here with a 10th in 2018 and fifth in 2019. He finished with a career-highlight round of 64 on the Sunday. Finau has finished 11th or better in six of his last 10 events and was T8 in the US Open. He ranks 11th in SG: Tee To Green and fourth in Scoring Average this season, so it’s hard to see why he won’t perform once again.
Webb Simpson has slowly got better at Augusta National with half a dozen poor performances before a T20 result in 2018 and T5 last year. His consistent play generally sees him around the top end of the leaderboard with six straight top 20 finishes, including a T8 at the US Open. He ranks 14th in SG: Around The Green and 10th in Scoring Average.
Australian golfer Adam Scott is our final value selection. A three-time Major winner, and winner of the 2013 US Masters. He is a veteran at Augusta National with this upcoming tournament to be his 19th appearance; he has a win and six top 20 finishes beside his name. His recent form is an obvious concern, failing to break into the top 10, but not many players have better course management at Augusta compared to the Aussie.
US Masters Tips and Predictions: Roughie ?
Another Augusta veteran comes up as our best roughie for the tournament. Englishman Ian Poulter has found form recently with T6, fifth and T12 from his last three tournaments. Seven top 20 finishes from 14 visits, including a seventh placing last year, could see “Poults” as a surprise packet this year.
