The 120th US Open Golf Championship is set to begin on Thursday, September 17 after being rescheduled from its original June timeslot – Read on for our best US Open tips.

Held at the Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, New York between September 17th to 20, the US Open Golf Championship showcases the world’s best golfers.

His dominance could see him completely outplay his opposition and it’s hard to go past him as the top pick to win his second US Open Championship.

US Open Tips and Predictions: Best Value ?

The field is full of top players which makes finding the best value plays that little more difficult. Webb Simpson has put together some nice performances with a T3 result at the Wyndham Championship, T6 at The Northern Trust and T12 at the Tour Championship.

Simpson won the US Open back in 2012 with a +1 at the Olympic Club, Lake Course. Since the PGA Tour restart, Simpson leads the tour in adjusted scoring, par-4 scoring, putts per GIR and bogey avoidance. From the last eight events, he also boasts a win and three top 10s. He won the RBC Heritage in June.

Our next value pick is Tony Finau. Four top 10 performances from the past seven events, which includes finishing fifth in the BMW Championship. He has eight top 15 finishes in Majors and his stats suggest he could have a good tournament with rankings of 11th SG: Tee To Green, 21st SG: Approach The Green and 23rd in Putting Average.

He also has six top 20 performances from his last eight events which shows he is playing well. Rankings of 18th for both SG: Putting and SG: Tee To Green, along with 3rd in Bogey Avoidance.
