Zozo Championship @ Sherwood Tips and Predictions: Best Bet ?
With only half of the regular field in this invitation event, we have three selections rather than our usual four. Our best bet is Xander Schauffele who has been playing well without a win. He was fifth in the US Open and second in last week’s The CJ Cup @ Shadow Creek where he finished -18. He ranks 2nd in SG: Total and 4th on Scoring Average this season and it could be a matter of time before he secures a tournament victory.
Zozo Championship @ Sherwood Tips and Predictions: Best Value ?
Our first value selection is Matthew Wolff. A Californian local, Wolff went to a nearby High School and his familiarity with local courses could be a huge benefit. It was a tournament to forget for the 21-year-old who finished +11 at The CJ Cup. Prior to that, he was tied for second in the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open and second in the US Open. He sits 24th in Total Putting and 2nd in Eagles Per Hole. With five long Par 5s at Sherwood, Wolff could be at the top of the leaderboard.
The second value selection is Russell Henley who finished third at The CJ Cup. That was his third top 10 finish in five events and seven-straight cuts made. He was putting well last week and currently sits 8th in SG: Total and 20th in GIR. Henley looks a solid contender on a course that can suit his game. He is worth each-way backing in the Zozo Championship.
