Jack Hermansson vs Marvin Vettori

Jack “The Joker” Hermansson is the #4 ranked Middleweight in the UFC and he meets the #13 ranked Marvin Vettori. Hermansson comes off a submission win in the first round against Kelvin Gastelum in July. That victory allowed The Joker to bounce back from a knockout defeat against Jared Cannonier in September 2019. From his last six fights, Hermansson is 5-1.

The “Italian Dream” Marvin Vettori enters the fight on the back of a first-round submission win over Karl Roberson in June. Vettori is 4-1-1 in his last six fights, with the draw coming against #12 Middleweight contender Omari Akhmedov and a split decision loss to champion Israel Adesanya.

Expect Vettori to combine high-pressure punches with good grappling and submission skills. The 27-year-old’s well-rounded skill set could trouble Hermansson in this fight.

Both guys are talented fighters with Hermansson having a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, while Vettori has a brown belt. The adjustments made on the feet will be crucial to this fight with neither man exceptional strikers, but they can still dish out punishment.

If the fight is brought down to the canvas, Hermansson will be successful. Vettori has shown solid takedown defense though; one query will be his gas tank over five rounds.
