Brisbane Broncos vs Gold Coast Titans Preview & Prediction

The Broncos will be looking to maintain their spot at the top of the ladder when they play host to the Titans at Suncorp on Sunday.

It’s been an outstanding season for the Broncos so far, with Kevin Walters’ side winning 11 of their 15 games to enjoy an outright lead of the competition.

With Queensland securing another Origin series mid-week, it’s a great time to be a footy fan in Brisbane – but now the Broncos must put together a strong finish to the regular season, something they failed miserably at last year.

Brisbane have won three straight coming into this clash against the Warriors, Sharks and Knights, but all three have been tight victories, so with the likes Reece Walsh, Payne Haas, Thomas Flagler, Pat Carrigan and Selwyn Cobbo coming back into the team, they will want to make a statement.

Meanwhile, the Titans are the first team to have had all three byes this season, heading into this encounter with a 6-7 record.

Consistency has long been an issue for Gold Coast and it’s still an area that needs major improvement, along with their away form, with the team winning just two games away from Cbus Super Stadium in 2023.

Kieran Foran is back as the Titans look to back up their 28-12 win over the Tigers before last week’s bye.

VERDICT

Looks like a good game for the Broncos to really put their foot down and make another statement to the rest of the NRL.

Sunday arvo at Suncorp against a team they put 43 points on earlier in the season. Stage is set for a big Broncos performance. Going to back Brisbane to score Over 26.5 points, which they’ve done in three of their last four wins over the Titans. Gold Coast have also conceded exactly 46 points in recent defeats to the Knights and Rabbitohs (Best Broncos Over 26.5 team points odds $1.80 with bet365.)
