Manly Sea Eagles vs Wests Tigers Preview & Prediction
The Sea Eagles are targeting their sixth consecutive victory over the Tigers when the two teams farewell their 2023 seasons on Friday night at 4 Pines Park.
Not much to play for here with the Tigers basically condemned to another wooden spoon, although the Sea Eagles are celebrating Jake Trbojevic’s 200th game, so some incentive to perform well in front of their home fans.
Manly showed what they’re capable of last week in attack, dropping 42 points on the Bulldogs and it easily could have been so much more.
In fact, the Sea Eagles have been very competitive over the last few weeks, pushing top four sides the Panthers and Warriors in narrow defeats.
The Tigers meanwhile have won just four games all season and lost their last 11 straight as underdogs, so not much hope for them to end another tumultuous year on a bright note.
After a thrilling win over the Dolphins, the Tigers came crashing back down to earth last week with a 26-point loss to the Roosters.
VERDICT
Manly have won five straight against the Tigers, who have won just three of their last 16 at 4 Pines Park.
The Sea Eagles are capable of piling on the points and in front of their home fans with Jake Turbo playing his 200th NRL game, a celebration could be on the cards (Best Sea Eagles 13+ margin odds $1.85 with bet365.)
