Sea Eagles vs Wests Tigers Preview and Prediction

Manly aim to continue their blistering form when they come up against the Tigers at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday.

It’s been a fantastic season for the Sea Eagles after starting the year with four straight defeats, surging into sixth spot on the ladder and still within reach of the top four.

Tom Trjobevic’s return from injury has been the catalyst to Manly’s sensational run and the Origin star will make his return for this clash after missing last week’s 32-18 win over the Dragons, along with halfback Daly Cherry-Evans.

Turbo’s numbers have been insane this season – he’s scored 14 tries in just nine games, along with 16 try assists, 44 tackle breaks and 13 line breaks. He’s also averaging 207 metres per game and scored a hat-trick in his last two games.

With stats like that, it’s no wonder Manly are firing, with the team scoring 50+ points in three of their last four wins.

Good luck to the Tigers trying to keep the Sea Eagles at bay in this clash!

Save for some horrible defeats to the Storm and Eels, Michael Maguire’s side haven’t been too bad over the last couple of months and come into this clash just two points outside the top eight.

However, it’s defence where the Tigers need to aim up – they’ve leaked 30+ points in their last six losses and Manly are primed to take full advantage of that.

VERDICT:

With Turbo and Cherry-Evans back, we can’t see Manly losing this one.

The Sea Eagles are scoring points for fun and the Tigers’ are struggling big-time in defence, especially when they come up against the elite sides (see recent 66-16 and 40-12 losses to the Storm and Eels).

We like Manly to win well with plenty of points once again (Best Manly 13+ & over 50.5 points odds $2.20 with Sportsbet).
