Warriors vs Eels Preview and Prediction

Parramatta Eels will be aiming to keep pace with undefeated competition leaders Penrith when they tackle the inconsistent Warriors on Saturday during Magic Round at Suncorp.

The Eels have been superb all season and come into this clash having won eight of their nine matches, including their last four by convincing 13+ margins.

Indeed, the Eels have been on fire with their attack, with the 260 points scored the most the club has ever scored through nine rounds in their history.

Parramatta were clinical in swatting away an out-of-form Raiders side and resident battlers Brisbane and Canterbury before recording their first win in four years over the Roosters last week.

It’s been a terrific response from the Eels after they limped out of the finals last season and so far they are proving they are genuine premiership contenders in 2021.

Meanwhile, the Warriors have gone win-loss for most of the season and head into this showdown smack bang in the middle of the ladder in eight spot with four wins to five losses.

The Warriors scored plenty of points last week against Manly – 32 to be exact – but the problem was their defence, which leaked 38 and ultimately saw them go down at Lottoland.

Having defeated the Titans and Dragons among others this season, the Warriors know they can beat teams above them on the ladder, but the Eels will prove a considerable step up in class.

The Eels have won three of the last four meetings between the teams, but they’ve played some close games in recent times, with the last five decided by 1-12 margins.

The Warriors enjoy playing at Suncorp in front of what is usually a strong Kiwi support base, but the Eels are flying and are favourites to continue their strong start to the season.
