Sydney Roosters vs Wests Tigers Preview & Prediction
The Roosters target a fourth straight victory when they take on the Tigers at Allianz Stadium on Saturday night.
After struggling for most of the season, the Roosters are making a late push for the finals after winning four of their last five games, only losing to the high-flying Broncos.
Another win here would mean the Roosters could face old rivals the Rabbitohs for the eighth and final spot in the finals in what would be one of the biggest games of the year next Friday night.
However, the Roosters can’t afford to look past the Tigers, especially with James Tedesco out with a head knock.
The Tigers have been gallant lately and finally snapped their 10-match losing streak last week with a one-point victory over the Dolphins.
Api Koroisau was the hero after kicking a goal from the sideline, but he shifts back to hooker for this game as Will Smith comes in at No. 7.
VERDICT
The Roosters’ attack has been terrible throughout the season, but over the last month something has clicked, with the team averaging around 30 points during that period.
Sam Walker is back for his first NRL game since Round 7 after getting some match fitness back in the NSW Cup. The Tigers were decent last week, but they have a terrible record against the Roosters, losing 16 of the last 17 meetings and suffering a crushing 72-6 loss at Moore Park last year.
Three of the Roosters’ last four wins have been by 13+ margins and they can continue their momentum with another convincing victory here (Best Roosters 13+ margin odds $1.68 with bet365.)
