Tigers vs Roosters Preview and Prediction
The Roosters launched their 2021 NRL season with a bang last week and I’m expecting them to register another big win when they meet the Tigers on Sunday afternoon.
It was a tremendous opening performance from the Rooster as they demolished Manly by 42 points, with both Brett Morris and James Tedesco scoring a hat-trick of tries.
With 14 wins from their last 15 games against the Tigers, the Roosters will relish the chance to record another statement victory in Campbelltown.
Their star-studded backline will fancy their chances of crossing the line, with Joseph Manu scoring a try in his last three day matches and Daniel Tupou scored at least one try in 10 of his last 11 games against the Tigers.
Throw in Tedesco and Brett Morris’ hat-trick last week and the Roosters are set to run rampant.
The Tigers started well against the Raiders last week, but they couldn’t keep it up and ultimately were never really in the hunt, going down 30-12.
Inconsistency throughout a match and week to week continues to plague the Tigers and Michael Maguire once again has a massive job to guide his team into the finals this season.
They are in big danger of going 0-2 to start the campaign and if the Roosters pick up from where they left off last week, the Tigers are in for a very long day at the office.
