Brisbane Roar have discovered some form of late with two wins and two draws moving them to seventh spot and just two points outside of the finals.

Robbie Fowler’s side held off the Wellington Phoenix last week to claim a hard-fought 1-0 win thanks to Dylan Wenzel-Halls’ goal, showing great resilience to claim all three points.

As a result of Roar’s upturn in form, the Mariners have split to second bottom on the ladder after a run of three losses in the last four games including 3-0 defeat at Western United last weekend.

Central Coast’s only win in the last month games courtesy of two penalties deep into injury-time as they overcame Melbourne Victory 3-2, but otherwise they have looked out of sorts.

Brisbane are unbeaten in the last 16 head-to-heads with 12 wins in that time too. It is those sorts of statistics that make it hard not to punt on the Roar continuing their recent run of form.
