Brisbane Roar have enjoyed an upturn in fortunes during a five-game unbeaten run that has seen them collect 11 points from the last 15 after a run of three wins and two draws.

That includes a 1-0 win at Central Coast Mariners in Round 16 last Saturday night, but the trip to face the Sky Blues at Jubilee Stadium is a daunting one.

Sydney FC have lost just once all season and now have a 10-point lead at the top of the ladder after bringing up a fourth straight win with a 3-0 demolition of Big Blue rivals Melbourne Victory.

Among the Sydney wins was a 5-1 victory over Roar when the sides met in December before Robbie Fowler’s Brisbane side begin this run of positive results.

There shouldn’t be the same kind of blowout this time, but Sydney should be making it five straight wins. Roar have been getting across the line with one-goal victories and unlikely to have the firepower to trouble the Sky Blues.
