Sydney FC and Jeonbuk Motors each target their first win of this season’s AFC Champions League when they clash in Group H action on Wednesday.

Both Sydney and Jeonbuk crashed to defeats to Ange Postecoglou’s Yokohama Marinos outfit in their Group H openers – can either side step up and take a much-needed three points on Wednesday night?

With the CoronaVirus causing multiple AFC Champions League games to be postponed, there’s an element of uncertainly surrounding this season’s competition and how and where the abandoned games will be caught up.

Shanghai SIPG haven’t played a game yet in Group H, giving Sydney and Jeonbuk the chance to rise into second spot with a win here.

Sydney are coming off just their second A-League defeat of the season after going down 1-0 to the Western Sydney Wanderers on Friday night.

Meanwhile, reigning K-League champions Jeonbuk are yet to start their domestic campaign for 2020, playing a bunch of friendlies in January – including a pair of draws against Lokomotiv Moscow and CSKA Sofia – before their 2-1 defeat to Yokohama in the Champions League.

Jeonbuk arrive in Sydney fresh, while the Sky Blues might just be starting to feel fatigued after a long A-League season. Equipped with a better squad on paper, Jeonbuk should be able to outclass their Australian rivals and pick up their first win of the campaign.
