Arsenal are aiming to break a three-game losing run against Aston Villa when the two teams square off at the Emirates on Friday night in the Premier League.

Mikel Arteta’s side started the season in woeful fashion, but they’ve started to pick things up and come into this encounter on the back of a six-match unbeaten run.

Arsenal won three Premier League games in a row over Norwich, Burnley and Tottenham, but have been held to 0-0 and 2-2 draws against Brighton and Crystal Palace in their last two outings.

The Gunners left it late against Palace, with Alexandre Lacazette scoring the equaliser in the final seconds.

Meanwhile, Villa are one point and one spot behind Arsenal on the ladder after failing to build on impressive back-to-back wins over Everton and Man United.

Villa have since gone down 2-1 to a poor Tottenham side and 3-2 to Wolves last week, blowing a 2-0 lead at home and conceding three goals after the 80 minute mark.
