EPL Tips & Predictions: Manchester City vs Brighton

🗓 Date: Thursday January 14
 Time: 5.00am AEDT
🏟 Stadium: Etihad Stadium

Man City have recaptured their mojo over the last month with a number of impressive performances and we expect them to register a routine victory over Brighton to continue their charge up the ladder.

After a series of flat displays at the beginning of the season, City have upped the ante in recent weeks, coming into this clash on the back of a 13-match unbeaten run and six-game winning streak.

Pep Guardiola’s side have accounted for the likes of Man United, Chelsea and Arsenal in that period and are starting to once again look like title favourites.

Meanwhile, Brighton are struggling in the league and have won just two games from their 17 fixtures. Their style of football remains attractive to watch, but they aren’t picking up the wins and look like relegation candidates at the moment.

City have won four of their last five games against Brighton to nil, and with their defence looking strong, we think another shutout of Brighton is in order in this one.

Key Points

  • City have kept a clean sheet in four of their last five games vs Brighton
  • City have scored 13 goals in their last three games vs Brighton
  • Man City are unbeaten in their last 13 matches in all competitions
  • Brighton haven’t won in 15 of their 17 league matches

EPL Tips & Predictions: Tottenham vs Fulham

🗓 Date: Thursday January 14
 Time: 7.00am AEDT
🏟 Stadium: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Originally scheduled to face Aston Villa away, Tottenham will instead play host to struggling Fulham at home and Spurs should have no trouble in collecting the three points.

Star duo Harry Kane and Son Heung-min are well rested from Tottenham’s easy FA Cup win over Marine mid-week, while Fulham could be fatigued following their gruelling extra-time victory over QPR.

With four wins from their last five games, Tottenham are in solid form at the moment and they will be relishing the chance to record a big victory against a Fulham side that might not be operating at full fitness.

Fulham have failed to score in three of their last five matches and might find it tough to break through a Spurs’ defence that has kept a clean sheet in their last three outings.

Key Points

  • Tottenham have won four of their last five games
  • Tottenham have kept a clean sheet in their last three fixtures
  • Fulham have failed to score in three of their last five matches
  • Fulham were taken to extra-time by QPR in the FA Cup over the weekend
