Liverpool vs Leeds Preview & Prediction
Liverpool is making a surge to take the Premier League title out of Manchester City’s grasp. Five wins on the trot finds themselves just six points behind the ladder leaders with a game in hand.
It took them a while to come out of the gates against the bottom of the ladder Norwich last time out. They found themselves a goal down via a cruel deflection, but as good sides do, it didn’t take them long to find the lead.
Meanwhile, Leeds only sit precariously five points above the relegation zone after losing back-to-back matches for just the second time this season. They fell to heavy defeats against Everton (3-0) and most recently Manchester United (2-4).
They’ve struggled defensively this season, but it has come more into the spotlight in recent fixtures. Marcelo Bielsa’s side has conceded 10 goals in their last three matches, which is a worrying sign against a team that scores goals for fun at Merseyside.
Verdict:
It’s obvious that Jurgen Klopp has fuelled a fire of belief that has enriched his squad of players, leaving them hungrier than ever to spoil Manchester City’s season, and I don’t see Leeds halting that momentum at Anfield.
