Since Ole Gunner Solskjaer’s departure on Matchday 12, the Red Devils have been undefeated. They drew against Chelsea (1-1) and defeated Arsenal (3-2), Crystal Palace (1-0) and Norwich (0-1).

When Manchester United needed it most, their saviour Cristiano Ronaldo once again saved them this season, slotting away the penalty that he won with 15 minutes left in the match.

They will be aiming for their fourth consecutive win this season, the first time they would have achieved that feat. They’d fancy their chances, winning 10 of the previous 12 meetings against Brighton.

Meanwhile, Brighton’s early incredible start to the season has become undone in recent weeks. They have dropped down to the 13th spot on the ladder with just eight points from their previous 11 matches.

Neill Maupay wasn’t able to provide the saving grace for them this time in their one-goal defeat against Wolves last time out. Despite dominating position on the night, they struggled to create any meaningful chances.

Brighton will have all the odds stacked against them on Saturday night and made even tougher by the fact that they have never beaten Manchester United at Old Trafford in their history.

Verdict:

Considering Brighton’s poor form and Manchester United’s home ground advantage, I believe a comfortable win is on the card for the Red Devils, returning back into the top four.
