Watford vs Tottenham Preview & Prediction

Watford fell to fifth straight defeat last time out, with their last points coming against Manchester United in November. To their credit, they have played three of the top five teams. They have lost against Leicester, Chelsea, Manchester City, Brentford, and West Ham.

The pressure is starting to boil over on experienced coach Claudio Ranieri, with The Hornets destined for relegation. They currently sit just two points ahead of Burnley in 17th, although The Clarets have a game in hand.

On the other hand, the form of Emmanuel Dennis has been something to cheer about for Watford fans. He netted in his last match, making it 10 goals in his last eight league matches.

Meanwhile, Tottenham has not suffered a Premier League defeat under new manager Antonio Conte. They have four wins and three draws in their previous seven matches, which has put them in a position to move into the top four if they win their games in hand.

They will be disappointed that they shared the points against a 10-man Southampton outfit in a 1-1 draw last time out. They were starved of the three points when they found the back of the net twice in the second half, only for them to be ruled out controversially.

Verdict:

Watford’s run of poor fortune will ultimately have to come to end, but I don’t see it happening in the early hours of Sunday morning against a well drilled Conte side.
