Portugal vs Switzerland Preview & Prediction

Portugal concluded their group stage action with a damning 2-1 loss against South Korea. Although they did field a slightly weaker starting eleven compared to their first two matches. However, they did finish on the top of Group H and will be hungry to go far in the tournament as the underdogs.

The Portuguese also have a fairly strong record against the Swiss, winning three of the previous four meetings. They missed the influence on the pitch from Bruno Fernandes last time out, considering the star attacking midfielder contributed to four goals in the opening team matches.

Elsewhere, Switzerland managed to pull off a huge victory against rivals Serbia despite being 2-1 down to finish equal on points with Brazil at the top of the group.
