Novak Djokovic vs Taylor Fritz Tips & Predictions

Djokovic survived a bit of a scare in his second round clash with Tiafoe, but he should have a smoother ride in his third round clash with another American in Fritz.

The eight-time Australian Open champion was forced to dig deep in order to subdue the powerful Tiafoe, but the American was never going to be able to sustain his level for five hours if need be – Djokovic simply bided his time and pounced when he sensed the moment was right.

Djokovic probably won’t mind the extra time on court all things considered at the moment, but I doubt Fritz has the game to challenge him on Friday.

Fritz is equipped with a big serve and forehand, but Djokovic is the best returner on the planet and nullifies those strengths. In their previous meetings, Djokovic has won all four sets without conceding more than three games.

I would be surprised if Fritz even got close to winning a set on Friday.
