Queensland’s richest race ran true to its wide-open reputation. Spicy Martini settled back before unleashing a strong finish down the Eagle Farm straight to collar Sepals late, with Von Hauke staying on for third. The win delivered Taylor Marshall his maiden Group 1 — almost four decades after his late father, John Marshall, claimed his second Stradbroke — and another major for the in-form Toby Edmonds stable.
