The Gold Coast Magic Millions Raceday is one of the richest days in Australian racing — $13.25 million across a ten-race card run at the Gold Coast in mid-January, with every race restricted to horses sold through the Magic Millions sales. The 2026 raceday is on Saturday 17 January 2026, headlined by three glamour features: the $3m Magic Millions 2YO Classic, the $3m Magic Millions 3YO Guineas and the $2m Magic Millions Cup.

Staged at the Gold Coast during the 18-day Magic Millions yearling sales, the Magic Millions Raceday is unlike any other meeting in Australia: only horses bought through a Magic Millions sale are eligible to run, which turns the card into a showcase for the sales company’s graduates and a marketing spectacle as much as a race meeting. Brand ambassador Zara Tindall and the famous beach gallops have made it a fixture of the Australian summer.
The 2YO Classic (1200m, $3m) is the richest two-year-old race in the country and the day’s centrepiece, while the 3YO Guineas (1400m, $3m, set weights plus penalties) and the Magic Millions Cup (1400m handicap, $2m) round out the headline trio. The ten-race program also features the Magic Millions Sprint, Subzero/Stayers, a 2YO and 3YO fillies & mares race and other restricted events — all for sales graduates.
