Everton find themselves in desperate need of some points after suffering an embarrassing loss against the struggling Magpies in their previous outing. They sit just two points above the drop.

They have failed to win a Premier League match since December 6th from six attempts, including five losses. They are the only side never to be relegated from the top-flight and won’t want that record broken anytime soon.

Meanwhile, Leeds were involved in one of the matches of the season last time out against Aston Villa. They fought back from 3-1 down at Villa Park to salvage a memorable draw and most importantly chase down Brentford in 14th.

A win on the weekend will move them level on points with Leicester and a handy nine points away from the relegation zone. Both teams like to play possession based football, so it will be intriguing to see which side controls the tempo of the match.

Verdict:

It’s a tough match to predict considering the Toffees are still adapting to the managerial style of Frank Lampard. But on the other hand, they hold the home ground advantage, so a draw could be on the cards.
