Liverpool vs Leicester Preview & Prediction

After a run of three matches without a win, the Reds have won their previous two league matches against Brentford (3-0) and Crystal Palace (1-3). Nevertheless, they are still in the hunt for the title and can reduce the gap to six points if they win their matches in hand.

Despite downing the Eagles at Selhurst Park, it wasn’t the most convincing of matches. They were simply more clinical in the chances they created than their opposition and are set to unleash new signing Luis Diaz in his first league match for Liverpool.

Meanwhile, Leicester has failed to win in their last three matches in all competitions. The latest being a disappointing 4-1 defeat at the hands of Nottingham Forrest in the Fourth Round of the FA Cup.

It has been a lacklustre season from the Foxes, which has recently put Brendan Rodgers in the hot seat. They currently sit in the bottom half of the table and are closer to the relegation zone than a Europa League position.

Verdict:

Although Liverpool lost both of their previous two meetings against Leicester, I believe their prescience at Anfield is too much of a fortress to ignore against any team in the competition.
