Rajasthan Royals v Sunrisers Hyderabad (Sunday 8pm AEST)

Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad are both desperate for a win as they sit seventh and eighth on the IPL table after six matches.

Sunrisers Hyderabad have changed their captain with David Warner axed from the role in favour of Kane Williamson.

Hyderabad are last with one win and five losses in the tournament and they were defeated by Chennai Super Kings in their last match. CSK won by seven wickets with nine balls spare. Manish Pandey and Warner made 61 and 57 respectively for the Sunrisers but they struggled to take wickets with Rashid Khan picking up 3/36, the only wickets to be taken in the match for the team.

Rajasthan Royals were no match for the Mumbai Indians after setting 4/171 in the first innings. A number of starts failed to translate to a big score and the Indians cruised home with Quinton de Kock unbeaten on 70 to lead the team to a 3/172 score off 18.3 overs. Chris Morris picked up 2/33 for the Royals.

The Royals can grab a third tournament win and Jos Buttler looks the man to lead the run scoring for the team. New captain Williamson can make a statement for Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Kolkata Knight Riders v Royal Challengers Bangalore (Tuesday 12am AEST)

Royal Challengers Bangalore look to bounce back from a loss when they meet the struggling Kolkata Knight Riders at Narendra Modi Stadium.

The Challengers have won five of their first seven matches in IPL 2021, but were disappointing last time out with a 34-run loss against the Punjab Kings. Chasing 180 for victory, RCB finished with 8/145 off their 20 overs as too many batsmen failed, including Glenn Maxwell who was bowled first ball.

Kolkata have the opposite record to their opponents with two wins and five losses. Delhi Capitals trounced them with KKR batting first with a score of 6/154. Andre Russell was unbeaten with 45 from 27 balls. Despite 3/24 from Pat Cummins, the Capitals chased down the target with 21 balls left and seven wickets in hand.

Royal Challengers Bangalore should be winning this match and Rajat Patidar looks a value bet to lead the scoring for the team. Shubman Gill is a quality player who looks most likely to top score for the Knight Riders.
