2021 Bathurst 1000 Tips, Odds & Predictions

Bathurst 1000 Tips – Leading Contenders

Shane Van Gisbergen & Garth Tander (Best Odds $4.25 with bet365)

Van Gisbergen finally snapped his drought at Mount Panarama by teaming with Tander to win the Bathurst 1000 last year and the pair are deserved favourites to go back-to-back on Sunday. Van Gisbergen is top of the Supercars Drivers Championship for 2021 with 2828 points, ahead of second-placed Jamie Whincup on 2479. Tander is a four-time champion in Bathurst and always gets up for this race.

Jamie Whincup & Craig Lowndes (Best Odds $5.50 with bet365)

Second behind Van Gisbergen in the Driver’s Championship this season, the retiring Whincup will be chasing more glory with long-time partner Lowndes in Bathurst. Whincup and Lowndes are the most experienced team at the 2021 Bathurst 1000 with a sensational 11 victories between them and will be determined to make an impact after the pair were forced to retire upon their return to the mountain last year.

Cameron Waters & James Moffat (Best Odds $7.50 with Sportsbet)

Waters teamed up with Will Davison to finish last year’s Bathurst 1000 in second place behind Van Gisbergen and Tander and will link up with Moffat in an attempt to go one better this year. Waters is fifth in the Driver’s Championship and has been flying in practice on the mountain, edging out Chaz Mostert and Davison to top the opening session.

Will Davison & Alex Davison (Best Odds $12 with TAB)

Will Davison has declared he will be doing everything in his power to stop former housemate Whincup from finishing his career with a fairytale win on the mountain. Davison is bidding for his third Bathurst 1000 triumph and will be keen to go one better than his second-place finish with Waters last year.
