Norwich vs Everton Preview & Prediction
Norwich are set for a short turnaround after suffering their sixth straight league defeat, in a two-goal defeat at the hands of West Ham. It’s fair to say that the result could’ve been a lot worse, with their defensive line all over the shop.
The most concerning aspect of the recent losses for Dean Smith’s side, is that they haven’t found the back of the net in any of those losses. They have only scored eight goals in 20 matches this campaign.
Meanwhile, Everton will be eager to return to winning ways after a shock loss against Brighton at home. They were made to rue for missed chances, including a Dominic Calvert-Lewin penalty which hit the crossbar.
Rather surprisingly, Rafa Benitez’s side struggled to maintain possession at home against a team they should be cruising to get three points against. One win in their last 10 matches has seen them drop to 15th on the table.
Verdict:
It will be a crucial three points for both sides. Norwich look destined to be relegated if they don’t start getting some points on the board, and if Everton lose it could mean the end of Benitez’s tenure at the Toffees.
Seven of the last eight meetings have hit the under market. (Best Under 2.5 Goals Odds: $1.75 with Ladbrokes & TAB).
