Tonga, fresh from beating England, play Lebanon at CommBank Stadium in Round 2 of the Rugby League World Cup.
Tonga come into Round 2 on the back of the biggest upset of the opening weekend, a 30-12 win over England in Perth, while Lebanon were beaten 42-18 in Port Moresby. The two met once before at a World Cup, a 24-22 Tonga win in the 2017 quarter-final, and another win would put Tonga in a strong position on the combined Pools B and C table.

Our pick: Tonga to win. Tonga’s pack is full of NRL forwards, Jason Taumalolo, Addin Fonua-Blake, Haumole Olakau’atu and Moeaki Fotuaika among them, and it controlled England for long periods last week, with Isaiya Katoa kicking seven goals from eight. Lebanon leaked 42 points in Port Moresby and were beaten up front in the second half.
Lebanon are not without threats. Jacob Kiraz and Jason Saab give them finishing power out wide, and Michael Cheika’s side pushed Tonga to two points the last time they met at a World Cup.
