Both Adelaide and Victory are in desperate need of a win as they prepare to lock horns at Coopers Stadium on Saturday night.

After a bright start to the season, Adelaide’s premiership aspirations have completely evaporated, with the Reds coming into Round 20 in 10th spot on the ladder, nine points adrift of the top six.

Adelaide have won just one of their last 10 games and lost five of their last six, including two of their last three at home against the Mariners and Wanderers.

Adelaide’s season is almost certainly over, but failure to win here would probably be the final nail in the coffin.

Meanwhile, Victory also started the season on fire and were top of the table for a large chunk of it, but they’ve since fallen to fourth.

Victory have managed just one win from their last nine and have a league-high 10 draws, while they are coming off a 3-2 defeat against the Roar last week.
