Road to the Final

Karolína Muchová

The tougher draw, and she came through it in style — beating three of the biggest names in the game across the second week.

Round Result
R1 def. Anastasia Zakharova 6-3, 6-2
R2 def. Zhang Shuai 6-3, 6-2
R3 def. Mananchaya Sawangkaew 6-2, 7-6(1)
R4 def. Barbora Krejčíková 7-5, 5-7, 6-3
QF def. Naomi Osaka 7-6(4), 6-4
SF def. Coco Gauff 6-2, 1-6, 7-6(10-9)

Linda Nosková

The 21-year-old has been ruthless, dropping just one set on her run and knocking out a string of seeds to reach her maiden major final.

Round Result
R1 def. Ella Seidel 6-4, 6-3
R2 def. Camila Osorio 6-3, 4-6, 6-2
R3–R4 came through the seeds, incl. a win over Madison Keys
QF def. Elise Mertens 6-3, 7-5
SF def. Marta Kostyuk 6-4, 6-4

Head-to-Head

The pair have met just once on tour, and it went the way of the more experienced Muchová: a three-set win in the third round of the 2025 US Open. That makes the Wimbledon head-to-head 1–0 in Muchová’s favour — a slim sample, but a useful edge in a final this tight. As compatriots and Billie Jean King Cup teammates, there will be few secrets between them.

The Match-Up

Muchová, 29, is the most complete shot-maker left in the draw — slice, touch, a willingness to come forward, and the variety to unsettle a rhythm player. She becomes the oldest first-time Wimbledon women’s finalist since 1998, and her wins over Naomi Osaka and Coco Gauff in the last two rounds are the best pair of scalps by anyone in the draw. The question is physical: three-setters against Krejčíková and Gauff have asked big questions of her body.

Nosková, 21, is the cleaner ball-striker — a heavy, flat backhand and an improving serve that has held up under pressure all fortnight. She has spent far less time on court and arrives fresher. If she can take time away from Muchová and deny her the angles, the youth-and-freshness edge is real. Expect a contrast in styles: Muchová’s craft against Nosková’s power.

Odds & Best Bet

Player Match Odds (indic.) Notes
Karolína Muchová ~$1.85 Slight favourite; beat Osaka & Gauff, leads the H2H
Linda Nosková ~$1.95 Fresher, cleaner striker; maiden Slam final

Best bet: Karolína Muchová to win (~$1.85). It is close to a coin-flip, but Muchová’s variety, big-match experience and the 1–0 head-to-head give her the edge on a surface that rewards her all-court game. For a value angle, over 21.5 games appeals — two evenly-matched Czechs who know each other’s games well points to a tight, competitive final.
