The key lead-in. The Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes over 1400m went to Angel Capital, who is not in this field. Regal Award ran third first-up and drops to 55kg from barrier 4. Lady Shenandoah was fourth as favourite that day and is top weight here at 58kg with James McDonald from barrier 9. Evaporate and Warnie were also in that field.
Our best bet: Regal Award (barrier 4). Regal Award comes out of the strongest lead-in with a run under the belt and an inside gate, and heads an open market. Each-way: Changing Colours (barrier 8), who has won the last four starts and gets in on the 52kg minimum.
