Sea Eagles vs Roosters

Sea Eagles to win

Manly are yet to win this season, and it’s slightly worrying they lost last week against the Knights at Brookie. However, the Roosters are coming off an absolute hiding at the hands of the Panthers and now have to play the Sea Eagles at 4 Pines Park, where they have an abysmal 38% win rate.

Warriors vs Tigers

Warriors to win

The Warriors are massive favourites in this one for a reason. The Warriors are undefeated this season and have scored the most points of any team, averaging 40 points a game. They also tend to play their best footy in Auckland, so say a prayer for the Tigers because they’re going to need it.

Broncos vs Dolphins

Dolphins to win

The bookies have the Broncos as the clear favourites, but this is close to a 50/50 match. Katoa is the second-best halfback in the comp, not too far behind Cleary. Also, the Broncos have been unimpressive so far, completing just 69% of their sets of six and only scoring 16 points per game. In contrast, the Dolphins are completing 75% of their sets and scoring an average of 28 points.

Bulldogs vs Knights

Bulldogs to win

The Doggies haven’t been very impressive in attack this season, but their defence is rock solid. We don’t see the Knights being able to pierce through the Doggies’ line, and Newcastle is giving up 24 points per game. With such a leaky defence, Canterbury will have more than enough opportunities to score.

Panthers vs Eels

Panthers to win

The Panthers are the best team in the NRL this season, and the Eels just aren’t in the same stratosphere. We’ve been incredibly impressed with Penrith’s defence this season. Somehow they’ve only conceded 10 points across three games, while most teams are giving up that many points in the first 20 minutes of a match.

Cowboys vs Storm

Storm to win

Even with the game in Townsville, the Storm are heavy favourites, and it’s hard to argue against that, especially when Melbourne is averaging 37 points per game and has a monstrous 72% historical win record against the Cowboys.

North Queensland just don’t have an answer for Cameron Munster, who can take over a game at will. It looks like Townsville’s temp and humidity may be the only thing that can slow Melbourne down.

Raiders vs Sharks

Raiders to win

The Raiders don’t lose too many down in Canberra. After going down to the Doggies at GIO Stadium last round, don’t expect the Sharks to make it two home losses in a row. On paper they’re evenly matched, but the home-ground effect is strong in this one.

Titans vs Dragons

Titans to win

Neither side has been impressive this season, with both failing to get a single win in their first three matches. However, with the home ground advantage, the odds slightly tip in Gold Coast’s favour.

The Titans have the superior defence, giving up 22.6 points compared to the Dragons, who are conceding over 30 points per game. Defence tends to win games at home, but don’t be surprised if this is a close one.
