Here are the latest previews and predictions for Round 12 in the NRL Telstra Premiership.

Bulldogs vs Dolphins

Betting Tip: Bulldogs to win

The Doggies are the best team in the competition at the moment, and with home-ground advantage, the Dolphins need a miracle to win this one. Canterbury is putting on a defensive masterclass this season, conceding under 16 points per game.

We don’t see the Dolphins piercing the Bulldog’s line, also, the Queensland side struggles in Sydney, winning just 2 games away this season. The Dolphins look destined to finish in the bottom 4 this season, while the Doggies have a real shot at becoming minor premiers. We are predicting the Doggies to win big. The game may even be over before the teams hit the sheds.

Eels vs Sea Eagles

Betting Tip: Sea Eagles to win

The Eels are coming off a strong performance against the Knights; however, the Sea Eagles pose a whole new level of challenge. Parramatta’s lacklustre defence is in for a long Friday night against the Sea Eagles’ dynamic backline, which features an in-form Lehi Hopoate and Jason Saab.

Don’t be surprised if Manly wins by 15 or more points. Until the Eels figure out how to consistently score, don’t expect them to win too many games this season.

Panthers vs Knights

Betting Tip: Panthers to win

Both teams have been dreadful this season, and as the game is being played at Bathurst, anything can happen. However, the Knights simply don’t know how to score. Incredibly, they average less than 13 points per game, which is by far the lowest in the whole competition.

The Panthers have the opposite problem, they have no issues racking up tries but have been woeful in defence. In our experience, an attacking side usually prevails over a defensively minded team. Penrith also has the talent edge with top players like Nathan Cleary, Dylan Edwards, and Brian To’o.

Roosters vs Sharks

Betting Tip: Sharks to win

The Roosters have shown moments of brilliance this year but have been let down by sloppy defending, conceding on average 27 points per game. The Roosters clearly have the attacking prowess with players like James Tedesco, Daniel Tupou, and Mark Nawaqanitawase, but will struggle to keep the Sharkies at bay for the whole 80 minutes.

The Sharks will come into this one brimming with confidence after downing Melbourne last week. Cronulla have just as strong an attack as the Roosters, but they only give up 18.7 points per game. Keep an eye on the defensive lines. If the Roosters are tackling well, then they have a chance, but otherwise the Sharks will run away with the game.

Warriors vs Raiders

Betting Tip: Warriors to win

This is a battle of the home-ground bullies. Both teams have looked like premiership contenders when playing at home but have struggled when away. Even though on paper the Raiders have the better side, winning in Auckland is an extremely difficult task.

In fact, the Warriors have been perfect at home this year, recording 5 wins. We expect this trend to hold. The Warriors also have one of the best defences in the whole comp, so we are expecting a low-scoring game with New Zealand grinding out a tough win.
