Here are the latest happenings in the NRL Telstra Premiership. at the end of Round 13.

Dragons Crush Knights

St. George Illawarra Dragons 20-6 Newcastle Knights

The Knights’ scoring woes continued after they managed to put just six points on the board in an entire 80 minutes. The Dragons had a perfect first half with tries from Jaydn Su’A, Clinton Gutherson, and Loko Pasifiki Tonga. Valentine Holmes also slotted all three conversions, giving St. George an 18-0 lead going into half-time.

Despite a try from Kai Pearce-Paul in the 69th minute, Newcastle never looked much trouble for the Dragons.

Storm Hold Off Titans

Gold Coast Titans 16-28 Melbourne Storm

It was a highly competitive game between the Titans and Storm on the Gold Coast. The Titans had an upset on their mind, especially when Jayden Campbell crashed over the line in the fifth minute and then converted his own try. However, doubles from Sualauvi Faalogo and Grant Anderson kept the Storm in control.

Cowboys Win a Shootout Against Tigers

North Queensland Cowboys 32-28 Wests Tigers

Both sides seemed to forget how to tackle, as there were constant missed tackles and 16 line breaks. The lacklustre defence turned the game into an absolute try fest, with 11 tries being scored. The Cowboys were in control in the first half, but then the Tigers scored four unanswered tries to come within touching distance but ultimately ran out of time.

Sea Eagles Thump Broncos

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles 34-6 Brisbane Broncos

Manly completely outclassed the Broncos at Brookie. The Sea Eagles dominated possession (58% vs. 42%), and Brisbane struggled to complete sets, making far too many errors. Manly racked up six tries, including four in the first half.

Brisbane Broncos’ title hopes have gone up in smoke after another loss. The Broncos are quickly falling further behind the top eight. We will have to see if they can bounce back.

Warriors Edge Past Rabbitohs

New Zealand Warriors 30-36 Canberra Raiders

Despite a hat trick from Alex Johnston, the Bunnies couldn’t get the job done against the Warriors. Latrell Mitchell also had a great game, bagging a try and kicking five goals. However, two late tries from Roger Tuivasa-Sheck sealed the game for the Warriors.

With this win, the Warriors have put the comp on notice. They are just two points behind the Bulldogs and are gunning for a home semi-final in New Zealand, where they are extremely tough to beat.

Panthers Too Good For Eels

Penrith Panthers 18-10 Parramatta Eels

This was an extremely close game between the Panthers and Eels at CommBank Stadium. At half-time, the Panthers were up 6-4 but then gave up the lead after Josh Addo-Carr scored in the 45th minute. Penrith held their nerve, and tries from Thomas Jenkins and Brian To’o secured the win. Nathan Cleary also bounced back from his horror of a kicking performance at Origin with 3/3 conversions.

Raiders Break Roosters’ Hearts

Sydney Roosters 24-26 Canberra Raiders

The Roosters were confident coming into this game at Allianz Stadium, and things looked good as they went into the sheds up 12-4 after a last-minute try from James Tedesco gave them a comfortable lead. However, the Raiders looked like a different side in the second half, running in four tries, with Ethan Strange’s 73rd-minute try proving the difference.
