Sydney Sixers vs Brisbane Heat Big Bash Predictions

Wednesday January 24 | SCG | 7.15pm AEDT

It all comes down to this as the Sydney Sixers and Brisbane Heat lock horns for the Big Bash silverware at the SCG on Wednesday night. The Sixers are aiming for their fourth Big Bash trophy, which would put them just one behind the Scorchers who have the most with five, while the Heat are gunning for their first title since BBL02. The Sixers hold the H2H dominance throughout BBL history, winning 15 of the 20 previous meetings, including five of the last eight at the SCG. The Sixers also defeated the Heat by 39 runs last week in Queensland to advance directly through to the Grand Finals, forcing the Heat to pull off a huge victory over the Strikers a couple of nights ago, with Josh Brown going off with a ridiculous 140 runs off just 57 balls. Home ground advantage and a recent win gives the Sixers the edge in our eyes.

We’ll also be backing Moises Henriques for a decent knock. Henriques is coming off scoring 59 runs against the Heat last week and averages close to 26 runs at the SCG throughout his Big Bash career. Considering he just scored 59 against the Heat, we’ll back Henriques to cover his runs line of 19.5 at home.
