Collingwood vs Carlton

Collingwood to win & match points under 169.5

Collingwood return to action in Round 4 when they host Carlton at the MCG on Thursday night after a bye in Round 3. The Blues’ Round 3 loss to the Bulldogs left them coming to terms with a dreaded 0-3 start, and to make matters worse, star midfielder Zac Williams suffered an ACL injury. We don’t see things improving for a struggling Carlton side up against a Magpies team coming off back-to-back wins. Expect Collingwood’s experience to shine through.

Geelong vs Melbourne

Cats to win by 1-39 Points

Geelong will host a winless Melbourne side at GMHBA Stadium on Friday evening. The Demons are one of just three teams yet to record a victory this season. Meanwhile, the Cats have suffered back-to-back losses but have been competitive, with both defeats coming by fewer than 10 points—including a valiant nine-point loss to reigning premiers Brisbane in Round 3. In a parallel universe, Chris Scott’s men could be sitting at 3-0, and we expect them to finally get the rub of the green with a win here.

Gold Coast vs Adelaide

Crows to win & match points under 174.5

Gold Coast and Adelaide will go head-to-head at Heritage Bank Stadium on Saturday afternoon in what could be the game of the round with both sides remaining unbeaten. While there’s little to separate them, we see the Suns suffering their first defeat of the season. The high-scoring Crows, fresh off a commanding 36-point victory over North Melbourne, have enough to upset the marginal odds and come away with the win.

Richmond vs Brisbane

Lions to win with -45.5 handicap

An embattled Richmond side host an unbeaten Brisbane at the MCG on Saturday afternoon. After an opening-round win over Carlton, the Tigers have been brought crashing down to earth with back-to-back defeats—losing by 82 points to St Kilda and 72 points to Port Adelaide. While Brisbane’s biggest winning margin this season has been just 19 points, we expect them to find their scoring rhythm and put Richmond to the sword.

North Melbourne vs Sydney

Swans to win by 1-39 points

It’s been an indifferent start to the 2025 season for both North Melbourne and Sydney, who face off at Marvel Stadium on Saturday night. With both sides sitting at 1-2 after three rounds, this shapes up as a tight contest. However, with the Swans coming off a Round 3 bye and a dramatic victory over Fremantle in their last outing, we expect them to have the edge in a close-fought battle.

GWS Giants vs West Coast

Giants to win by 40+ points

The Giants will host a struggling West Coast side at the Sydney Showground on Sunday afternoon in what is expected to be the most one-sided fixture of Round 4. With West Coast sitting at the bottom of the ladder and showing weaknesses across the field, we expect Adam Kingsley’s men to continue their strong start to the season with a comprehensive victory.

Port Adelaide vs St Kilda

Saints to win by 1-39 points

St Kilda will travel to the Adelaide Oval on Sunday afternoon for a Round 4 clash with Port Adelaide. The Saints have had a slightly better start to the season, registering two wins from three, while Port Adelaide have just one win from three. Although the Power are marginal favourites at home, we believe the Saints, buoyed by back-to-back victories, will have enough to secure an away win.

Fremantle vs Western Bulldogs

Dockers to win with -6.5 handicap

The final fixture of Round 4 sees Fremantle host the Western Bulldogs at Optus Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Both sides are expected to be in the mix for the top eight by season’s end, and we anticipate an end-to-end contest. However, the home ground advantage may prove to be the deciding factor for Fremantle, who are coming off an impressive 38-point away victory over West Coast in Round 3.
