NFL Week-By-Week Predictions –
Only four teams remain on the road to Super Bowl LVII as the Conference Championships take place on Sunday (Monday AEDT). The Chiefs feature in their sixth consecutive AFC Championship game, but will start as underdogs against the Ravens on the road, while the Lions are playing their first NFC Championship game since 1991 when they come up against the mighty 49ers – read on below as our expert NFL tipsters preview both Conference Championship games, along with providing their best bets and predictions.

Baltimore Ravens vs Kansas City Chiefs NFL Predictions

  • Monday January 29 | M&T Bank Stadium | 7.00am AEDT

The Chiefs find themselves in yet another AFC Championship game as they go on the road to face the Ravens on Sunday. It’s the sixth consecutive season the Chiefs have featured in the AFC Championship fixture, advancing courtesy of a 27-24 victory over the Bills last week – the third time they have eliminated Buffalo in the last four seasons. Meanwhile, the top-seeded Ravens have won 11 of their last 13 games and progressed to this showdown following their convincing 34-10 triumph over the Texans. This will be a battle for the NFL’s top two defences in points allowed and sacks against two of the league’s premier quarterbacks, making this a tantalising encounter with a ticket to the Super Bowl up for grabs.

We’ll be backing Mark Andrews to go under his receiving yards line of 34.5 for our best bet. Andrews has been sidelined for the Ravens since November with an ankle injury and has been named to make his return in this high-stakes clash. It could be a risk for the Ravens to really push Andrews here, especially with the Super Bowl around the corner. Additionally, his replacement Isaiah Likely has been very solid, averaging 36.6 yards across his last seven games. The Chiefs have also covered tight ends well throughout the season, conceding just 40.9 yards per game to that position. Overall, like fading Andrews in his return game with so much on the line here.

San Francisco 49ers vs Detroit Lions NFL Predictions

  • Monday January 29 | Levi’s Stadium | 10.30am AEDT

For the first time in over three decades, the Lions will play in the NFC Championship game when they go on the road to face the 49ers on Sunday. Not since 1991 has Detroit had the chance to play for a spot in the Super Bowl and now they’re one win away from creating more history. The Lions held off the Buccaneers 31-23 last week for their fifth win in their last six games, while the 49ers were also involved in a tight clash, defeating the Packers 24-21 as Christian McCaffrey continued his amazing form with a late touchdown. San Francisco will now try to avoid losing the NFC Championship game for the third consecutive season.

We’ll be backing the Lions to go under a team points total of 23.5 for our best bet. The 49ers are rightfully heavy favourites at Levi’s Stadium and we’re expecting them to the the job done. The 49ers have won a total of 13 games this season, with 12 of those victories seeing them keep their opponents Under 23.5 team points. Furthermore, the Lions have failed to eclipse 23.5 total team points in their last four defeats this season.
