Lions vs Dockers Preview

Round 21 concludes with the Sunday afternoon clash between the Fremantle Dockers and the Brisbane Lions at Optus Stadium in Perth.

Both sides were on either side of the result in some upsets last weekend with the Dockers pulling off one of the upsets of the season, travelling to Geelong and knocking off the reigning premiers by seven points.

Brisbane let slip of a golden opportunity to advance to second spot on the ladder by going down to their local rivals, Gold Coast, by 41 points. The Lions are one game behind Port Adelaide on the ladder and will be looking to put the pressure on in order to secure a home final later in the year.

But they will need to overcome their poor record away from the GABBA in 2023. The Lions have won just three of nine away matches this year Lachie Neale is one player that will be looking to bounce back after a quiet game last weekend, while Harris Andrews had five goals kicked on him and had no intercept marks.

The Dockers come in with the momentum and stepped up in the last quarter of their Cats game, winning a number of crucial contests.
