Carlton vs Adelaide Preview

The Blues fell to their worst loss of the season against the Giants by 36 points last time out.

Their worst loss all season was seen by the onlooking new club president Luke Sayers, the leader of the Carlton external review announced three weeks ago. They were called out for their lack of effort, and despite having fewer disposals than Giants, they laid 38 fewer tackles.

Not only was it a big deal to land a contract deal with leading goalkicker Harry McKay, but also co-captain Patrick Cripps, who has just signed a monster six-year deal to make him a one-club man, as they look to improve their club culture.

Meanwhile, the Crows downed the hapless Saints by a goal in a low-scoring encounter.

Adelaide found themselves with only 18 points at half-time and was all but out of the contest. However, a resilient surge saw them kick the last seven goals of the match to win by six points thanks to a freak goal by young star Riley Thilthorpe.

Matthew Nicks side has a good history against the Blues, with six of the last seven meetings going their way. So, they will have plenty of faith they can continue that trope on Sunday evening. A win for the Crows will see them move two games ahead of the Blues.

Although Carlton has been in some poor form, I believe they will be able to get the four points against the Crows at Marvel Stadium to conclude Round 15 action.

Blues vs Crows Team News

The Blues have named six inclusions, with Lachie Plowman, Marc Murphy and Sam Petrevski-Seton the notable inclusions. Luke Parks has been omitted, whilst Marc Pittonet and Zac Fisher will miss with injury.

The Crows have named Elliot Himmelberg, Jackson Hately, Luke Brown and Nick Murray in their inclusions. Josh Worrell has been omitted.

*Teams are yet to be reduced to 22, four omissions still need to be made from the eight-man bench.

The two sides last met in Round 17 last season, which saw the Crows win by 16 points.
