Adelaide vs Carlton Preview

The two sides have had contrasting fortunes in 2024. Carlton are one of four sides that are undefeated, having opened up their season with four wins, while Adelaide are yet to register a victory so far in 2023.

The Blues came off a thrilling victory over Fremantle in Gather Round, pinching the contest late against the Dockers by 10 points, while Adelaide went down to Melbourne by 15.

The Crows registered just eight goals in the match against Melbourne and rank 17th in the competition for goals scored this season. Slow ball movement has made it difficult for the likes of Taylor Walker and Izak Rankine, who combined for just two majors in the loss against the Demons.

At the other end of the ground, Charlie Curnow and Harry McKay have combined for 24 goals this season, an average of six per game between them. Patrick Cripps, George Hewitt and Adam Cerra should ensure plenty of supply to that duo, while Sam Walsh returns from injury.

Hard to see the Crows turning things around for this. They will need to improve on their form outside of South Australia that has seen them win just two games since the start of 2023.
