St Kilda vs Carlton Preview

The Saint’s finals chances were left in jeopardy after a two-goal loss to the Eagles.

St Kilda currently sits on 32 points in 12th position and shares the same number of points as four other sides. However, their percentage is one of the worst in the competition.

The Saints will have a clear advantage in the ruck department with both Paddy Ryder and Rowan Marshall available against some in-experienced Carlton talls. When these two play together the Saints don’t lose many games.

Similarly, the Blues blew their finals chances with a horror 39-point loss against the Kangaroos.

It was obvious they were missing the threat of Harry McKay upfront last week, and although they will likely be without him again, Charlie Curnow looks a chance to play his first game back in two years.

In what was going to be an optimistic season for the Blues turned out to be a disappointing one, with the club left having more questions than answers and having to process an external club review.

Although the Saints have lost two matches on the trot, I will back them in to win this match against the underperforming Blues.

Saints vs Blues Team News

Rowan Marshall and Jack Higgins look likely to return from injuries, but you can expect some more inclusions on top of that.

The Blues could finally see the return of Charlie Curnow, with Harry McKay still out with injury. Both Eddie Betts and Zac Williams will miss with injuries.

The two sides last met in Round 5 this season, which saw the Blues win by two points.
