Fremantle vs Geelong Preview and Prediction

Fremantle was obliterated against their cross-town rivals losing the match by 30 points.

The Dockers only managed to muster 26 inside 50’s against the Eagles, as a result, they only managed seven scoring shots for the entire game coupled with their lack of composure delivering the ball forward.

It will be a real tussle in the midfield on Monday, with both sides missing key players in the centre of the ground.

You’ll most likely see Fremantle play a more handball chain game style against the Cats.

Matt Taberner impressed for the Dockers finishing the match with 14 disposals and two goals.

Meanwhile, Geelong lost a low scoring affair against the Magpies last week.

It was a horrible week for the Cats, succumbing to their lowest score since 2001 whilst losing two valuable players in the process.

Without having the influence of Joel Selwood and Gary Ablett in the midfield this week, the Cats will have to make the most out of their outside run if they are to beat the Dockers.

Patrick Dangerfield was best on the ground for the Cats finishing the match with 32 disposals, 10 clearances and seven intercepts.

Both sides come into this one suffering lacklustre defeats last week, and I believe Geelong will be the side that will get back in the winner’s circle on Monday.

Fremantle vs Geelong Team News

The Dockers make two changes with Brandon Matera and Reece Conca coming into the side for Stephen Hill and Travis Colyer.

The Cats make six changes with Mitch Duncan, Tom Stewart and Lachie Henderson the most notable inclusions with Gary Ablett, Joel Selwood and Jack Steven being major outs.

The two sides last met last season which saw Fremantle come away with a 34-point victory.
