Adelaide vs North Melbourne Preview

The Crows were resilient despite their heavy 41-point loss to the Demons last time out.

Adelaide stuck with the top of the ladder Demons for the first three quarters, but they were outrun to finish the game. Matthew Nicks will be pleased with the solid foundation they showed against a top-quality side.

It was the midfield that kept them in the match for as long as they did, and they will need to be on top in that department on Sunday to have any chance of coming away with the four points. Paul Seedsman starred with 36 disposals and a goal.

Meanwhile, the Kangaroos threatened to make a late comeback against the Swans, but it wasn’t to be.

North Melbourne kicked four consecutive goals ON either side of three-quarter time to give them a chance of getting their first win in three matches. Their efficiency going forward was the most pleasing aspect coming up against a strong defensive unit.

They have already guaranteed the wooden spoon, but despite a stretch of losses in recent weeks (all against sides in the top eight), they have battled hard and shown signs of a strong rebuild beginning to take shape.

Although there’s not a lot on the line for either side, they will still want to finish the season off strong for their supporters. Both sides have shown signs of improvement recently, but considering the home ground advantage, I’ll back the Crows.

Crows vs Kangaroos Team News

Jake Kelly and Elliot Himmelberg will miss with injuries. Whilst Billy Frampton, Brodie Smith, James Rowe, Josh Worrell and Lachlan Gollant have been named as inclusions.

North Melbourne will be without Jack Ziebell and Charlie Comben on Sunday. They have named five inclusions from last week’s match squad.

*Teams are yet to be reduced to 22, four omissions still need to be made from the eight-man bench.

The two sides last met in Round 4 this season, which saw the Crows win by 41 points.
