North Melbourne vs Sydney Preview

After winning their first two games under new coach Alistair Clarkson, North Melbourne have since fallen off a cliff. The Kangas come into this with seven straight losses with those coming at an average margin of 51 points.

Last weekend, it was a 70 point defeat at the hands of Port Adelaide in Hobart. The 300+ game veteran, Todd Goldstein, was one of the Kangaroos better players, while Luke Davies-Uniacke, Jack Ziebell and Jy Simpkin all had above 25 disposals. Nick Larkey booted four goals. Unfortunately for the Roos, Davies-Uniacke is unlikely to be available for this game

That group will need to produce similar efforts to trouble a Sydney side that come into this with their own concerns over form. The Swans have lost their past four matches and have been hit by injuries in recent weeks with Logan McDonald and Callum Mills the latest casualties.

They will need a lift from the likes of Lance Franklin, who has been kept goalless in his past two games. Errol Gulden, Luke Parker and Chad Warner should provide plenty of supply, while we can expect Tom Papley and Isaac Heeney to trouble the Roos in front of goal.

Last yearโ€™s Grand Finalists do look to have a class edge and will be desperate for a confidence booster with some winnable games to follow as we head towards the half way mark of the season.
