North Melbourne vs Sydney Preview and Prediction

As North Melbourne look to keep their winning streak alive, the Swans stand in their way and are keen to stop the party by getting their second win of the year.

North Melbourne came out of Round 2 with a surprise victory against last year’s grand finalists GWS. The Kangaroos surged home with six last quarter goals to win by 20 points.

If the Kangaroos want to get the four points on Saturday, they will have to out grit the Swans and get on top in the midfield, Ben Cunnington will have to redeem himself from his below-par performance against GWS.

Ruckman Todd Goldstein dominated former Crow Sam Jacobs in the ruck last Sunday finishing with 51 hit outs, nine clearances and a goal.

The Swans lost a nail-biting tussle against the Bombers on Sunday by a goal, Sydney started poorly but fought their way back into the match after being behind by 20 points on four separate occasions.

Captain Josh Kennedy led from the front against Essendon as he made sure his side got first use out of the middle, he finished with seven clearances and 12 contested possessions.

The forward duel between Isaac Heeney and Cameron Zurhaar will be one to look out for on Saturday with both players threatening to have a huge impact in their sides score contribution.

North Melbourne playing at home will be a huge factor in this match and I believe they will hop over the line in this one to maintain their undefeated streak.

North Melbourne vs Sydney Team News

North Melbourne name one change to the side that beat GWS last week with Bailey Scott making way for the returning Paul Ahern. Shaun Atley will play his 200th game on the weekend.

The Swans similarly to the Kangaroos make one change to the side that narrowly lost to the Bombers by six points with the injured Kaiden Brand making way for Robbie Fox.

The two sides last played each other in Round 9 last season which resulted in Sydney winning a close one at Blundstone arena by five points.
