West Coast vs North Melbourne Preview

The competition’s cellar dwellers square off in AFL Round 20 with the West Coast Eagles hosting North Melbourne on Sunday afternoon.

Little separates the two sides in the head to head betting with North Melbourne holding slight favouritism on the back of some form that has been a bit more competitive that West Coast, but the Eagles do hold the home ground advantage.

Last weekend, the Kangaroos led St Kilda for a lot of the night but could not hold on at Marvel Stadium, going down by eight points. Tarryn Thomas and Nick Larkey each booted three goals, while Luke Davies-Uniacke picked up 33 disposals.

On the same weekend, West Coast went down to Carlton by 71 points, conceding 10 goals to the Blues spearhead, Charlie Curnow. Alex Witherden and Andrew Gaff bot picked up 30 disposals.

The two sides are both on 16-game losing streaks. West Coast have had their injury issues and the news doesnt get any better with Jeremy McGovern likely to miss, while Oscar Allen faces a fitness test. With the healthier list to choose from, the Kangaroos should be the ones to snap the drought but hard to tip with any confidence here.

West Coast vs North Melbourne Stats

  • Both sides have lost their past 16 matches
  • The Kangaroos have won two games this season, West Coast just the one.
