Adelaide are beginning to get their season back on track after losing their first four games to open up 2024. The Crows have won two of their past three with their loss in that period a tight one to Essendon by three points.

Matthew Nicks’ side come off a 57-point victory over North Melbourne in Round 7 with Rory Laird and Jordan Dawson finding plenty of the footy, while Izak Rankine was able to cash in up forward with four goals.

They take on their local rivals, Port Adelaide, who have won five of their seven matches this season. The Power have the better record but have plenty of injury concerns with their captain, Conor Rozee, going down with a hamstring injury in the 10-point win over St Kilda last weekend, while Allir Allir and Sam Powell-Pepper will also miss.

Zak Butters, Jase Burgoyne and Dan Houston all come off 25+ possession games and will look to provide plenty of drive, while Charlie Dixon heads in full of confidence after booting four goals last weekend.

Little separates the two sides in the head to head betting but the Crows look to be the value here. They come in with a relatively healthier list, while it is important to note that they won the two Showdown’s last year in dominant fashion.
