Richmond vs Gold Coast Suns Preview

Richmond and the Gold Coast Suns will be playing for pride in what is the final match of the season for the two sides.

The Tigers are in last spot and can leapfrog North Melbourne into 17th with their third win of the season. Gold Coast have won 10 matches and sit in 14th spot on the ladder.

The Suns were outplayed by Melbourne last weekend, going down to the Demons by 54 points. Sam Flanders, Touk Miller and Noah Anderson found plenty of the footy but their forwards were unable to finish off.

The Tigers were slow out of the blocks against Hawthorn, trailing by 50 points at quarter time before eventually going down by 63. Shai Bolton and Jayden Short were among the best for the yellow and black.

This might be the last time we see Bolton in Tigers’ colours with the goal-sneak requesting a trade at seasons end. He will be a key player, while the Tigers will need more from Tim Taranto and Jacob Hopper.

Gold Coast head in as favourites but are always a question mark on the road and have won just once outside of Queensland and the Northern Territory this season. Considering this, and the way Richmond finished off last weekend, the Tigers represent value at the head to head odds.
